Central Ohio MABL 14, Columbus MSBL 2- In the seventh game of the series the MABL broke through with a convincing win. Pitching was the theme, with Brian Hines, John Thomas, Adam Abraham, Doug Bringman, Justin Hawksworth, and Dan Dietrich combining to strikeout 17 and allow only 2 runs on six hits. The offense was led by Matt Johnson (2-2, 2B 3 RBI, 2 R, 2 BB), Aaron Hall (2-2, 2 Sac, 2 RBI, 1 R, SB), Bryan Wakefield (2-4, 2B, 2 R, Justin Wagnor (2-3, RBI, 2 R, SB), Trent Spellman (2-4, RBI), Ryan Noward (2-4, 2B, 2 R, BB). Matt Johnson was named game MVP for his performance at the plate.
The Stars Conference beat the Stripes Conference 18-4 in the 9th edition of the Central Ohio MABL All Star game. Led by Radammes Torres (4-5, 2HR, 2B, 1B, 5 RBI, 5 Runs) and Ron Eagle (3-4, HR, 3B, 1B, BB, 3 RBI, 3 Runs) the Stars Conference pounded out 22 hits. In addition to Torres and Eagle, Matt Johnson and John Hosgood homered for the Stars Conference. Kurt Hartfelder and Shaun Terrell each pitched four innings with the win going to Hartfelder. Torres and Eagle were named MVP's for their efforts
This weekend August 7/8 is All Star Weekend 2004. The All Central Ohio MABL team will take on the Columbus MSBL in the seventh game of the series on Saturday, August 7, 2004. The game will be held at Beavers Field in Lancaster at 7:00 PM.
