The Central Ohio MABL Playoffs will begin on Saturday August 16, 2008. The format is a best of three series for each round of the playoffs. Each game will be 9 innings with two games played on Saturdays and the 3rd game played on Sundays if necessary.

The Central MABL lost 12-11 to the Columbus MSBL in the 11th edition of the game. The MABL got off to a 1-0 lead early. Greg Weaver and John Thomas shut the old guys down for the 1st four innings but the MSBL scored 10 runs (w/help of blown foul/fair call) over the next 3 innings. Trailing 10-1 the MABL rallied to score 9 runs in the 8th inning to tie the score. The MSBL took the lead in the bottom of the 8th only for the MABL to tie the game in the top of 9th. With the score tied, 1 out, bases load, bottom of the 9th a walkoff single sealed the victory for the MSBL. The MABL out hit the MSBL 17-9 but MABL pitching issued 18 BB.

The Stripes Divison beat the Stars Division 9-8 in the 13th Annual All Star Game. The Stripes were led by Paul Van Horn (3-5 2 2B 4 RBI), Ty Carroll 3-5 2B 3R 1 RBI). Travis Thomas was got the win on the mound (4 IP 2R 2ER 5H 2BB 1K). John Hosgood (3-5 2B R RBI) and 3 Knights (2 hits each) led the Stars Divison.
