Congratulations to Robby Sexton (Pickerington Ducks) who has been selected Shorty's Pizza & Growl Player of the Week (2nd award) for his performance on May 21, 2023. Robby led the Ducks in a DH sweep of the Ohio Phillies 10-0 and 13-2.
In Game 1, Robby threw a complete game two hit shutout and led the Ducks offense with 3RBI with a double and a triple.

Congratulations to Dustin Reuter (Worthington Tigers) who has been selected Shorty's Pizza & Growl Player of the Week for his performance on May 14, 2023. Dustin led the Tigers in their 19-3 rout of the Ohio Phillies, going 2-4 at the plate with 4RBI, R and SAC while catching the Tiger pitching staff.

Mother Nature rolled into Central Ohio around 0700 and continued up and till at least 1300 bringing enough rain to cancel 10 of the 12 scheduled games.
The decision to cancel games at Canal, Coffman, Gant, GC, and Watkins was based on the information at the time: existing field conditions, existing weather conditions, rest of day forecast, and a few other factors. These games will be re-scheduled.
Beavers Field as of this post was delayed until at least 1430 and will try to get the games in. (Good Luck).
