The new player workout will be held TODAY at Grove City High School. The workout will held from 1300-1530 (depending on the number who attend, a live scrimmage may take place).
New players should arrive at 1230 for check in and warmup. Players should have their own equipment, to include glove, helmet (if you have), catchers gear (if you have) and wood bats (if you have). This is a wood bat league. Players should wear turf shoes, tennis shoes or molded cleats. No metal cleats / No seeds on the field as it is a turf infield. The league will have limited helmets / bats for use at the workout. The league will provide baseballs for the workout.
New Players who have filled out the detailed survey (google doc emailed after filling out the new player form on the league website) who are looking to catch on with a team in the Central Ohio MABL, should attend. This might be the best opportunity for you to get on a team this season.
Teams who are looking to add to their rosters for the 2026 season will then conduct a draft of new players after the workout and those players drafted will be contacted by their new team that afternoon/evening. Draft results will also be posted on league website.
If you have any questions about the upcoming workout or draft or are no longer interested in playing baseball send email: president@centralohiobaseball.com.
New player information on league data base will be deleted on or after the new season begins.
NO METAL CLEATS, NO SEEDS, NO TOBACCO
PICKUP YOUR DUGOUT WHEN GAME COMPLETED
No new inning after 3 hours. Games are scheduled three hours apart, but 2nd and 3rd games on fields may start later than the scheduled time states. Would rather teams ready to go then to be late. Match ups were based on 2025 standings and trying to create new and as even matchups based on information available.
