The Central Ohio MABL will host the 2021 HR Derby / Hitting Challenge prior to the All-Star Game on August 7, 2021. The HR Derby / Hitting Challenge format will be each player gets 10 swings. HR= 5 points, Warning Track= 3 Points, OF=1 Point. For each HR hit, player gets an extra swing. Player with most points wins the HR Derby / Hitting Challenge.
The following players have been selected to participate in the 2021 HR Derby / Hitting Challenge based on the 2021 Homeruns (as of 7-31-2021).

The Central Ohio MABL retained the All Star "belt" by defeating the Columbus MSBL 10-6 (10 innings) in the return of the annual All Star Game at Huntington Ball Park. Allen Ayers (Tigers) hit a two run HR in the top of the 10th inning to give the lead back to the Central MABL. Trevor Burch (Coyotes) pitched the 10th to close out the Columbus MSBL to earn the pitching win for the Central Ohio MABL.
Congratulations to the players who represented the Central Ohio MABL. Allen Ayers was named game MVP.
The following are reminders to Teams and players:
Dublin Coffman: No metal cleats allowed on the mound, bullpens or the batting cages. No Seeds allowed.
Gahanna: No Seeds allowed.
Reynoldsburg: No swings on the grass.
Grove City: No Metal Cleats, No Seeds, No drinks that will stain the turf.
Further at all fields that the League uses for games, no throwing or stretching in front of dugout areas.
Teams are reminded to clean up dugouts and fan areas prior to leaving. Leave it better than you found it. The League uses area fields and if their speciifc rules are not followed or if the fields are not clean of trash, the League will no longer be able to use those fields.
If the League is prohibited from using a field, because a team/player can not follow field rules set forth by the fields the League uses, that team / player will be subject to suspension or fine. The League can not risk loss of use because a team / player cannot follow simple rules established by those who allow use.
