Congratulations to the Westerville Titans as they defeated the Barracudas 2-0 to win their 2nd Central Ohio MABL title. The two games were well played by both teams. (Game # 1) 2hrs 10 min Titans. 3-5-0 Cudas. 2-6-2 Ryan Vaughn had a solid outing throwing a complete game allowing 2 runs on six hits. Vaughn struck out 6 and walked 5. KC Warden led the Titan offense with 2 hits and an RBI. Scott Tourville hit an RBI double that put the Titans ahead and Nick Assman added an RBI Sac Fly that proved to be the difference in the outcome. Wayne Lewis kept his team in the game by pitching 8 innings (complete game) allowing one earned run on five hits. Lewis struck out 8 and walked 2. Dave Perry led the Cuda offense with three hits and an RBI. (Game # 2) 2 hrs 20 min Titans. 5-9-3 Cudas. 3-4-0 Gerry Tulga fired a four hit complete game allowing one earned run to clinch the title. Tulga struck out 8 and walked 2 and retired 12 in a row from the 5th inning. KC Warden and Ryan Vaughn both went 3-4 with two RBI each to lead the offense. In a suprise, the Cudas sent Wayne Lewis back to the mound for Game 2. Lewis was better in game two, going 7 innings allowing 2 runs on six hits. Lewis struck out 10 and walke 2. The Cuda offense was led by George Parker who had a pair of doubles.
