League Awards were handed out on Friday, January 27, 2006 at the annual League Awards Party. The event held at Grand Host East was highlighted by the inaugural class inducted into the Central Ohio MABL. The inaugural class included eleven players who have played in the league since the inaugural year (1996) of the Central Ohio MABL. Those players inducted were- Charles McCroskey (Bison, Hurricanes, Wolves, Quakes), Jamie Holdren (Bison), Conrad Waricka (Bison, Barons), Chris Middlemus (Renegades, Tribe), David Giokaris (Spitballers), Tom Harmon (Black Sox, Huskies),Paul Kersell (Black Sox, Jaguars, Wolves), Terry Cook (Indians, Quakes), AJ Varda (Indians, Quakes), Ty Carroll (Indians, Bullets, Bandits, Dragons, Cobras), Elmer Aponte (Ravens, Cyclones, Quakes) Congratulations to those players for being inducted into the Central Ohio MABL Hall of Fame 2005 Award Winner's League Champion- Indians 2nd Place- Bison All Star Baseball Club 3rd Place- Hammerhead Sharks Manager of the Year- Keith Hausler, Indians Sportsman of the Year- Terry Cook, Indians League MVP- Radammes Torres, Sharks Pitcher of the Year- Greg Weaver, Sharks Batting Title- Tom Harmon, Black Sox RBI- Tom Harmon, Black Sox Homerun- Radammes Torres, Sharks SB- Jamie Holdren, Bison Wins- Greg Weaver, Sharks ERA- Greg Weaver, Sharks K's- Micheal Werner, Renegades

The 2006 Season will be the 11th year of the Central Ohio MABL. I will be sending out a letter to team managers in the next few days addressing the upcoming schedule of events. Managers should be contacting players about the 2006 season. Due dates for payment of league fees will be included in the letter sent to managers. I am aware of the following teams returning for the 2006 Season- Bison, Indians, Sharks, Renegades, Spitballers, Black Sox, Barracudas, Red Devilz, and Nimrods. If you are a player on one of the teams from 2005 that are not returning or are a new player league, or have a new team please email either president@centralohiobasebll.com or bison_two_nine@yahoo.com- The new player/team form on the website is currently unavailble temporarily.

The 2005 League Awards will be presented on January 27, 2006. The event will take place at the Grand Host East on East Broad Street at Taylor Road from 6:30 till 10:00 PM. The menu will consist of a BBQ menu, and domestic draft beer will be available. Players of the 2005 campaign are free, and guests of players will be $10.00 (paid at the door). If you plan on attending or bringing a guest, please RSVP to your team manager. I need to submit a number of attendees to the Grand Host East.
